Reporting to: Deputy General Manager - HR

Role overview:
The role holder is responsible for ensuring that people strategies are aligned with Business growth plans for the Research and Development groups. The role holder is responsible for all employee lifecycle processes, execution of corporate strategy and projects. The role is also the custodian of the HR Analytics & Manpower MIS for the Business Unit.

Overall job responsibilities:

  • EmployeeEngagement & Employee Connect: Deploying employee engagement and employeeconnect initiatives across the Business Unit. Developing and ensuringimplementation of suitable action plans to drive improvement in identifiedengagement metrics for the functions.
  • Bethe custodian of all HR Data and Employee information for the Business Unit.Manage the Organisation Structures and related documentation for the BusinessUnit. and use analytics to ensure business insights
  • PerformanceManagement System: Anchorthe Performance Management Process, including Goal Setting, Mid-yearPerformance Conversations and Annual Performance Appraisals, ensuring accurate& effective management from the systems & process perspective.
  • Bethe central point of contact between the functional leaders, HR Partners andthe Corporate COEs to drive the Compensation Revision process, in-line with theCorporate Guidelines as well as the Business priorities.
  • TalentAcquisition: Developeffective sourcing efforts to manage overall workforce requirements for thebusiness. Partnering with the business to identify talent, both internally andexternally and deliver as per agreed SLAs.
  • Trainingand Development: Conducttraining needs identification analysis for all positions in the region. Ensuredelivery of all learning workshops, orientation and training programs for allemployees as per training calendar.
  • TalentManagement: Toconduct Talent Management reviews as per calendar and ensure that thedevelopment plans are tracked with required rigor. To enable line managers formaking qualitative decisions on talent. Drive employee career and skilldevelopment, succession planning, and staff training.
  • SpecialProjects: Drive/supportspecial projects that come up during the course of the year (in collaborationwith a corporate function and HR Business partners)

Desired Experience and Knowledge:

  • MBA with specialisation in Human Resources with 8+ years of experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of Pharmaceutical industry –Products, skill sets, talent availability, etc.
  • Must be good in communications andinterpersonal skills
  • Must be self-driven, flexible and can work withunder pressure, independently or in teams
  • Must be good in negotiation, influencing,coaching/mentoring skills
  • Strong business acumen and conceptual thinkingabilities
  • High results orientation with attention todetail
  • Aquick learner with strong analytical skills
